MOORE, Okla. (KFOR) — Oklahoma-based drinkware company Simple Modern says a trade war with China could cost it millions. Simple Modern CEO Mike Beckham told News 4 Thursday at the company’s headquarters in Moore that President Donald Trump’s decision to impose a 145% tariff on China and the country’s own retaliatory tariffs had driven up costs for his company to around $100 million. Simple Modern produces various drinkware and containers, most popular for its tumblers.

GUTHRIE, Okla. (KFOR) — A popular spot for food trucks in Guthrie can no longer be used as a source for vendors to set up and sell after signs went up this week stressing prosecution for trespassers. Vendors in Guthrie told News 4 that signs went up at two vacant lots Monday in the 1400 block of South Division Street. The signs say that the lots are state property and that there is no loitering, dumping, or trespassing.

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) — A federal lawsuit has been filed against a former Oklahoma City police officer, the City of Oklahoma City and the state’s Attorney General, alleging excessive force and civil rights violations during an incident in October. The lawsuit stems from an October 27 traffic stop involving 71-year-old Lich Vu and former Oklahoma City police Sgt. Joseph Gibson. Body camera video shows an argument over a traffic citation Gibson tried to issue to Vu, escalating.

On Tuesday, News 4 received information from several Oklahoma universities confirming the federal government had revoked student visas for their students. Oklahoma Christian University says two of its students have had their visas revoked.
