KOSU-FM (Stillwater, Oklahoma)
KOSU (91.7 FM) is a public radio station run by Oklahoma State University, with its studios located on the OSU campus in Stillwater, Oklahoma, as well as in the Film Row area of Oklahoma City. The station offers a blend of National Public Radio news, talk shows, and adult album alternative (AAA) music. As one of several NPR member stations in the Oklahoma City Metroplex, KOSU stands out as the only NPR news and talk station that effectively covers most of the area with its main signal. Additionally, its programming is available on several full-time satellite stations: KOSN 107.5 FM in Ketchum, which serves the Tulsa region, KOSR 88.3 FM in Stillwater, K235CG 94.9 FM in Ponca City, and K297AQ 107.3 FM in Bixby.

But soon after that, it may run no more. The Texas legislature closed out its lawmaking session Monday without funding its share of the route’s budget.

Two new residents are stomping into the Tulsa Zoo. Billy and Tina are the two Asian elephants who have recently relocated from the Los Angeles Zoo to Oklahoma. Joe Barkowski, the vice president of animal conservation and science at the Tulsa Zoo, said they are adjusting well to their new home. “They're showing really positive signs. They're eating well, they're participating in their voluntary training, they participate in their bathing on a daily basis,” Barkowski said.

Gov. Kevin Stitt named an interim commissioner of Oklahoma’s troubled mental health department Tuesday, after lawmakers overwhelmingly voted to fire its former commissioner, Allie Friesen. Taking Friesen’s post is Retired Rear Admiral Gregory Slavonic. Slavonic was previously appointed to lead the Department of Veterans by Stitt in 2024, following reports of personnel and financial mismanagement at the agency.
