It happened multiple times last week while my wife and I were on a brief break in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. I just let it pass the first time it happened, but it happened a few more times, forcing me to take notice. People in the know informed me I was in the wrong queue. I was politely told I should be in the other queue. Brazil had a different classification for the over-60s, granting them the right to use the priority queue.

I have already become a writer. I had set myself a goal of writing one thousand words daily. I am six weeks into that discipline, and it has gone well. I can now call myself a writer. I write one thousand words daily and six times weekly. It was a challenging process, and I have written a lot of garbage. So I can tick stage one of my writing plan: become a writer. Well done, John. Goal one has been achieved. My second goal is to become a published writer, which brings me to this post.
