It remains unclear whether 8K will take off anytime soon, but I have my doubts. Google Messages is set to receive two new features in the near future: a new sensitive content warning system, and real-time location sharing. Google's native Android messaging platform is fairly solid as is, but there's always room for improvement.

Consider selling or trading-in your old PC, or giving it a second lease on life via a non-Microsoft operating system. Despite Windows 10's continued popularity from a desktop market share standpoint, Microsoft is determined to sever ties with the operating system later this calendar year.

While not as high-end as its more expensive sibling, there's a lot to love about the 13R, from build quality, to software features, and everything in between. When OnePlus launched its latest duo of premium smartphones earlier this year, the higher-end 13 model naturally received much of the attention.

Phone Link is a native Microsoft-built app, and it has come a long way over the years in terms of its features and reliability. As an Android and PC user, Phone Link has streamlined and optimized my workflow in several key ways. Out of the many default apps that ship with every new Windows 11 PC, one of my all-time favorites has got to be Phone Link.

Sidecar is an Apple CarPlay-compatible app for logging trips, performing OBD scans, viewing vehicle stats, and more. Apple doesn't allow CarPlay apps to serve as video streamers, but a stealthy Sidecar app update has managed to slip through the cracks. It's unclear if and when Apple will take action, such as to remove the app from the App Store due to its policy violation.

E Ink and Readmoo have unveiled the mooInk V, which is the world's first foldable color e-reader. The mooInk V leverages E Ink's Gallery 3 e-paper technology, and it can withstand up to 200,000 folds. There's no word on pricing or availability yet, but the e-reader is expected to be showcased again at Display Week next month.

Researchers have successfully converted solid electrodes to liquid form, creating a soft and malleable battery. Although conceptual, the tech is incredibly promising and bodes well for the future of consumer electronics.
