It has been just over two years since the last Jeep Cherokee rolled off the assembly line in Toledo, Ohio, after a 49-year run stretching five generations of SUVs. But the famous name, which helped popularize SUVs as family vehicles in the 1980s and 1990s, will make a comeback this fall. The 2026 Jeep Cherokee, unveiled today, will be new from the ground up, comes wrapped in an angular new shape with clear links to the upmarket Grand Cherokee and will offer hybrid power from the start.
