2024 was an extraordinary year for Mazda. With 424,382 vehicles sold, the Hiroshima-based automaker shattered its old sales record (379,883 cars in 1986) and ended the year with its best-ever December, selling 40,201 cars and SUVs. While its overall sales are modest compared to giants like Honda and Hyundai, Mazda’s 16.8% sales growth last year outpaced every other brand in the U.S. market by a mile, and its sales have grown 52% since 2019.
