PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- People who live in the Wissinoming and Tacony neighborhoods of Philadelphia are concerned for their safety after video surfaced of a pack of dogs mauling a cat. It happened on Monday night near the corner of Carver and Ditman streets. "The dogs were jumping all over the porch, and they just ripped this poor animal to shreds," said Tara Gnoza, who sent the video to Action News. The video shows the dogs chase a cat onto someone's front porch, and maul it to death.

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- The Portal in Philadelphia's Love Park will be moved after just five months in that location. It's been the target of vandalism on two occasions, but that isn't the only reason it's moving. "We wanted to be able to set up in the appropriate environment that has enough space for people to come and celebrate, for people to collaborate with the other countries, and not have to worry about moving it around," said Joe Callahan, a director of the Portals project.

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- The city is working to clean up a mountain of tires illegally dumped at Tacony Creek Park in the Crescentville section of Philadelphia. Thousands of tires were discovered in a wooded area near Newtown Avenue by the water. Park visitors said this is an issue throughout the area. "I see it once every few days. Trash and furniture gets dumped there all the time," said Tommy Ngo, who runs through the park daily.

NORRISTOWN, Pa. (WPVI) -- A middle school science teacher in Norristown, Pennsylvania, is facing charges after he allegedly requested to kiss an 8th-grade student during an upcoming field trip. John Richards, 57, of Newtown Square, turned himself in to police on Wednesday. He's facing charges of attempted institutional sexual assault, unlawful contact with a minor and other related offenses.

HADDON TWP., N.J. (WPVI) -- Community members gathered outside Jersey Kabab to welcome home Emine Emanet after she spent 16 days in a detention facility after being arrested by ICE agents. People brought gifts and flowers, others drove by, honked their horns and waved. "I feel good for the family. They're here!" said Jim Hansen, who hugged the couple outside the restaurant.
