New Britain, Conn./WTIC Radio - State police are looking for the suspect in a stabbing reported at a CT Fastrak station last month in New Britain. It happened April 4th. Detectives at Troop H in Hartford say some type of altercation broke out between the suspect and the victim. That victim sustained a stab wound to the back. The stabbing victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment of non life-threatening injuries. Anyone with any information is asked to call state police at Troop H.

Watertown, Conn./WTIC Radio - A man is due in court on Friday on charges that date back over four decades, according to Watertown police. They say John Church, 60, is charged. Police say the Canton resident is being charged with two counts of kidnapping in the first degree for the alleged incidents that occurred in 1982 and 1983. Both victims, police say, were under six years of age at the time.

Plainville, Conn./WTIC Radio - A Plainville middle schooler could face charges after police say the juvenile intentionally caused a laptop to smoke, forcing the school to evacuate. The incident at Plainville Middle School is being looked at as part of a social media trend that sees students forcing objects into Chromebook devices so they short circuit and smoke. The incident occurred around 10:15, causing smoke alarms to activate.

New Haven, Conn./WTIC Radio - On Wednesday, New Haven police announced arrests in two murder cases. Last Friday, officers found Naysha Mendez, 35, in Evergreen Cemetery. She had been stabbed. Now under arrest on murder charges is Edwin Arroyo-Roman, 55. Police said the two were acquainted with one another. At a news conference, Police Chief Karl Jacobson lauded the quick work of his detectives in making an arrest. Arroyo-Roman was arraigned Wednesday and is being held on $3 million bond.

Hartford, Conn./WTIC Radio - A man is dead after shots rang out in an area of Hartford in the middle of the day that sent people scattering Wednesday. It was around 1:30 p.m. when officers responded to an area of Capitol Avenue on a citizen report of shots fired. When they arrived, a male victim in his 20s was found unresponsive with at least one gunshot wound. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment and later pronounced dead.
