SOMERS - Elected officials from Kenosha and Racine counties took part in their annual Bi-County Council of Governments meeting on Saturday. The gathering, co-hosted by Kenosha County Executive Samantha Kerkman and Racine County Executive Ralph Malicki, was held at the Pritzker Military Museum & Library in Somers. The meetings are designed for officials representing various levels of government to meet and share information.

Friends of L'Arche Mosaic Kenosha united at the Public Museum on Sunday for a fundraiser centered around smashing plates and creating mosaics. Kenosha mural artist Tom Clark led the event. The funds raised will support Friends of L'Arche Mosaic Kenosha. Like a human mosaic, the event brought together participants ranging in age from children to adults well into their eighth decade, and those wish and without developmental disabilities.

The Kenosha County Board of Canvassers completed its review of the April 1 spring election on Monday with minimal changes to the resultsThe Kenosha County Clerk's Office indicated the changes - which involved a small handful of additional ballots counted in Paddock Lake and Salem Lakes - did not change the outcomes of any races. Gateway Technical College's Horticulture program will hold its third annual Art In Bloom event 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. April 9 in the Atrium of the Academic Building on the Kenosha Campus, 3520-30th Ave. The event is free and open to the public. Seven Gateway Floral Design students will will design their own floral arrangements in a contest. Students will receive their flowers during the morning of the event and will have to design their entry by the afternoon.
