Johnstown police believe the vehicle was the pictured white Jeep Compass with a wide black strip on the hood.

UPDATE: SOMERSET COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) — Residents in Meyersdale are being asked to evacuate as flash flooding has placed the area in a state of emergency. Officials said gas lines have been shut off and the Casselman River is rising quickly, with the water level up to 12 feet high. Residents in the areas of the following streets and avenues in Meyersdale are asked to take shelter:Second, Cuba, Dale, North, Pennsylvania, Broadway, Water, Summit, Grant and Mount Davis.
