Dawn Weyandt, 41, was reported missing by family members to the Altoona Police Department. The family said they haven’t heard from Dawn since mid-April.

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. (WTAJ) — Pennsylvania hunters can take advantage of a hands-on course all about venison — deer meat. Penn State Extension will offer “Venison 101” again this year. It’s a popular hands-on course for hunters to get a comprehensive look at venison butchering, processing and cooking. Online components will combine with an in-person workshop — scheduled for 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Aug. 22, to help hunters and butchers learn how to handle venison.

(WTAJ) — It was a big couple of days for Pennsylvania Lottery players as two scratch-off tickets each worth $1 million were sold on opposite sides of the state. The first one was a $1 million-winning Jackpot — A $20 game with top prizes of $1,000,000. It was sold at a Crabtree Gas & Go (Sunoco) on Roosevelt Way in Crabtree, Westmoreland County. They’ll receive a $5,000 bonus. The next one was a $1 Million Moneybag Crossword — Another $20 game with a top prize of $1,000,000.

ALTOONA, Pa. (WTAJ) — Two Philadelphia men were arrested in Altoona during an investigation into drug trafficking. Altoona police announced the arrest of Damar Holmes, 33, and Donte Dillard, 35, Monday, June 2, after an investigation involving APD, state police and the Office of the Pennsylvania Attorney General. UPDATE: Johnstown Police are searching for a vehicle believed to be driven by the suspect(s) in the stabbing. Photo provided by Johnstown Police DepartmentAccording to the victim, who had suffered multiple stab wounds to the torso, arm and face, two Black males got into a vehicle and drove off after the stabbing. Johnstown police believe the vehicle was the pictured white Jeep Compass with a wide black strip on the hood.
