The Kamloops Blazers have added 19 year-old defenseman Rhett Ravndahl from the Brandon Wheat Kings in a Tuesday evening trade. The Blazers surrender a fifth round pick in the 2026 WHL Draft to complete the transaction. Ravndahl is from Birch Hills, Saskatchewan. He’s played in 29 games with the Wheat Kings this season, with two goals and two assists. The 6-foot-1, 185lb defender has played in 113 career WHL games split between Portland and Brandon, and is in his third WHL season.

The Kamloops Blazers have added a player ahead of Thursday’s trade deadline, picking up 20 year old forward Beau Courtney from the Everett Silvertips in exchange for a 7th round draft pick in 2026. Courtney brings four years of WHL experience and nearly 200 games played on a solid Everett team. He’s put up 67 points in that span. The 5”10′ forward from Colorado is described as a hard working, trustworthy player.

The Kamloops Youth Soccer Association and Rivers FC have combined under one entity and will now be known as the Kamloops United Football Club (KUFC). “It’s a unified approach strategy for building a football eco-system from the U-3 level all the way to semi-professional soccer in Kamloops,” said Kamloops United General Manager Lyle Dos Santos. “It took a lot of time, a lot of brainstorming but we worked together collaboratively to build a new vision for Kamloops,” Dos Santos continued.

The Kamloops Youth Soccer Association is formally unveiling it’s newly-renovated indoor Soccer Dome on Saturday at its location in the Mount Paul Industrial Park. The indoor soccer facility had been undergoing extensive upgrades over the last number of months. The changes include new turf with a shock pad under it to make it more forgiving, while also extending it wall-to-wall to allow for more playing room.

The Kamloops Blazers now have three players listed on NHL Central Scouting’s watch list. They include Nathan Behm, Vit Zahejsky and Tommy Lafreniere. 17 year old Behm is listed with a B rating, which indicates a 2nd/3rd round draft candidate. The Calgary, Alberta native is the leading scorer thus far for the Blazers, with 11 goals and 7 assists through the first 11 games he’s played this season.
