(Image: County Press) A HOTEL manager in an Isle of Wight seaside town believes a runaway coach in a car park would have killed him if he had been in the van it crushed. The incident at the Ocean View Hotel in Shanklin, at 5.50pm yesterday (Saturday) left the hotel manager's van crushed, a receptionist's Ford Focus undriveable, and hotel perimeter walls wrecked.

(Image: Tina Mellar) THE resident of a house hit by a light aircraft before it exploded, said she was lucky to be alive after debris rained down on the spot where she had been sunbathing minutes earlier. The Bristell NG5 aircraft lost power, clipped a roof and careered through hedges and a fence, before landing in Whitecliff Bay Holiday Park, Bembridge, at around 2pm yesterday (Saturday).
