    RFC sabre team (Image: Hilary Philbin) Romsey Fencing Club entered six fencers in last week’s Hampshire Senior Sabre Championships in Southampton, where they were pleased to come away with a clutch of medals, including a silver medal in the mixed team event. The Romsey ‘A’ team – comprising Sam Dorkings, Dan Howes and Oliver Winder – fought in a nail-biting final which was eventually won 45-44 by Escrime Winchester. Sam Dorkings fenced brilliantly in the last bout.
