The California Highway Patrol of Santa Cruz is investigating a two vehicle crash on Highway 1 at State Park in Aptos.It happened at 4:12 A.M. Saturday.Traffic delays on Highway 1 continued for hours. Investigators say it appears to be a hit and run with injuries. The number and the extent of the injuries have not been made public. KSBW is seeking further information.

A 4.4-magnitude earthquake struck near Aromas Sunday morning, according to the United States Geological Survey.The quake hit abut 1.8 miles north northwest of Aromas in Monterey County. It was felt at the KSBW studio in Salinas and callers into the newsroom from Freedom and Gilroy reported feeling it as well. No damage was reported.

A law enforcement pursuit Saturday night from Northridge Mall in Salinas ended on an innocent bystander's front driveway. The California Highway Patrol tells KSBW an officer tried to stop the driver of a silver Chevy SUV for an expired registration but the driver refused to stop. That happened about 9 p.m. and the chase lasted about ten minutes as the driver drove into a neighborhood off Main Street. CHP said the driver went down Rico Circle which ends in a cul-de-sac and they had no where to flee.

Salinas Police investigating a single vehicle crash at N. Davis Road and W. Laurel Drive Sunday that sent 4 people to the hospital. The rescue call came in at 5:53 p.m., according to Salinas Fire on-scene. A car went through the intersection, crashing into the traffic control box for the traffic light. The force of the collision ripped a wheel and the motor right out of the car.

Fire investigators are trying to figure out what caused a fire at the Sand City Tesla dealership Thursday night off Del Monte Boulevard. The Seaside Fire Department says it started in the storage area next to the building. It took out a pile of tires and a couple of 55-gallon drums of hydraulic fluid and caused several explosions. The fire sent flames 40 feet in the air. It happened at 10 p.m. when the dealership was closed. Right now investigators are reviewing surveillance video looking for clues.

Watsonville Police shut down Union Street from Maple to Elm for a crime scene investigation. It all started about 9pm Saturday. Investigators have not released details but promise some soon.
