Resident Warhammer fanatic, Yogdog, here with a shocking announcement – there’s more Warhammer stuff to look forward to! Crazy isn’t it! Its already May 2024 (where has the year gone? Crikey) and it feels like it was only 2 minutes ago I was watching the cracking 2023 showcase. Last year had announcements and gameplay details for Rogue Trade, Boltgun, Darktide, and Total War: Warhammer 3 amongst other things (oh? I forgot Space Marine 2? Nope. That just gets a special mention here. God it looks good).

AbstractChickens genetically resistant to avian influenza could prevent future outbreaks. In chickens, influenza A virus (IAV) relies on host protein ANP32A. Here we use CRISPR/Cas9 to generate homozygous gene edited (GE) chickens containing two ANP32A amino acid substitutions that prevent viral polymerase interaction. After IAV challenge, 9/10 edited chickens remain uninfected. Challenge with a higher dose, however, led to breakthrough infections.
