The Pennsylvania Senate race between Democratic Sen. Bob Casey and Republican Dave McCormick is headed to a recount — a week after the Associated Press called the race for McCormick. The Pennsylvania Department of state called for the recount Wednesday as Casey and McCormick were separated by less than half a percentage point, the margin for a statewide recount. As of Wednesday evening Casey trailed McCormick by just under 30,000 votes.

Halloweekend. A college student created a holiday that entices a weekend of fun and in my case dressing up as a bear without getting weird looks. More known than this is Binghamton, which is famous for its parties and even more famous for its Halloweekend parties. Almost like a religious pilgrimage, college students from all over the U.S. flock to Binghamton to party in one of their Halloweekend venues. In anticipation of this weekend, I bought my Rilakkuma onesie from Temu and planned my trip.

Judge Baxter previously ruled that undated and misdated ballots should be counted under federal civil rights law, but 3rd Circuit panel disagreed and overturned ahead of the 2024 election. This time, she rules on constitutional grounds:
