ATLANTA — Scores of protesters were out Saturday in Atlanta for least two different demonstrations, one at the Georgia Capitol and the other around Piedmont Park and Midtown. They were part of protests against the Trump administration in several cities across the country, according to Associated Press reporting. They followed similar demonstrations in Atlanta two weekends ago that focused on President Donald Trump and Elon Musk.

Roswell had the sixth-highest quality of life "LivScore" among the cities that made the list, though its publishers stressed it was not meant to be taken as a literal 1-100 ranking.

COBB COUNTY, Ga. — A Cobb County Sheriff's Office employee of 25 years has been fired after being arrested and charged with aggravated child molestation, the sheriff's office said Wednesday. The sheriff's office identified the employee as Ivan Munoz. They described Munoz as a civilian employee who has been a criminal justice specialist in the sheriff's office since 2000. Munoz faces two counts of aggravated child molestation.

ATLANTA — An Atlanta city board has upheld the firing of the officer who initiated an arrest with and tased Deacon Johnny Hollman before his death on Aug. 10, 2023 during a response to a traffic accident. An autopsy report concluded Hollman, 62, died of cardiac dysrhythmia resulting from a tasing by then-Officer Kiran Kimbrough. Kimbrough was fired after the incident, and the city reached a $3.8 million settlement with the church deacon's family over his death.
