GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) — JH Rose met up with perineal power Whiteville inside Guy Smith Stadium on Monday. The Rampants kept the bats hot throughout the game, defeating the Wolfpack 13-7. After Whiteville jumped out to a 3-0 in the top of the first, Rose would go on to take the lead in the same inning after a couple of home runs. The Rampants would not give up the lead the rest of the way, keeping the offense rolling while holding off a Whiteville comeback.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WNCT) — ECU’s baseball team was hoping to start some new momentum on a road weekend series versus Charlotte. However, the Pirates’ bats were kept at bay by Charlotte pitcher Blake Gillespie as he held ECU to no runs on five hits through eight innings of work. Charlotte’s offense produced six runs in that same timeframe, led by a home run apiece from Logan Poteet and Dawson Bryce in a 6-0 49er win. The Pirates drop their fifth-straight game and fall to 20-15 overall on the season.
