Officers responded to a battery at an undisclosed residence around 1:35 a.m. Sunday, June 15, according to an arrest report from the Leesburg Police Department. The caller told dispatch he had been struck in the face by his girlfriend, 28-year-old Emily Lasha Gaynor, who “pulled a kitchen knife” on him.

    A woman is spending an additional 45 days in jail after bragging about smuggling fentanyl into the Lake County Jail. A detention deputy working at the Lake County Jail was stopped by a female inmate who wanted to speak with him, according to an arrest report from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office. She told him to keep an eye on cell 51, which housed 35-year-old Tiffany Danielle Skidmore. “She told me she never got strip searched in booking and snuck in her fentanyl,” the inmate told the guard.
