A homeless man in Lady Lake was arrested for trespassing at a Wawa after “saying obscene things and scaring” a customer outside the building. An officer responded to the Wawa at the corner of U.S. Hwy. 27/441 and County Road 466 regarding a disturbance involving 51-year-old Christopher Michael Grant at around 8:40 p.m. Monday, according to an arrest report from the Lady Lake Police Department. A customer outside the side of Wawa said Grant was pacing around and saying obscene things.

A Summerfield man was tased and arrested for refusing to get out of his truck with a firearm and open tequila found inside. A deputy responded to a suspicious vehicle, later found to be driven by 32-year-old Delmario Markeese Austin, in the area of County Road 219 in Wildwood at around 3:30 a.m. Saturday, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office. Dispatch advised that a pickup truck had been sitting in the middle of the road for about an hour while playing loud music.

A homeless man in Leesburg was arrested for battery after allegedly putting his girlfriend in a headlock and punching her near Rogers Park. An officer responded to a battery that had just happened at 607 W Dixie Ave., near Rogers Park, at 4:40 a.m. Wednesday, according to an arrest report from the Leesburg Police Department. Upon arrival, he met the female victim who advised that her boyfriend, 28-year-old Elliot Javier Garcia, physically battered her before fleeing the area on foot.

An Ocala man who was arrested for driving without a license in Wildwood. An officer spotted 34-year-old Claude Alexander Livingston driving a blue Toyota utility vehicle with a registration expired as of April 6 at around 9:45 p.m. Friday, according to an arrest report from the Wildwood Police Department. As a result, a traffic stop was conducted at the intersection of U.S. 301 and West Clark Street. The officer approached Livingston, who handed over a Florida ID.

A Leesburg man was arrested when it was learned he did not have a driver’s license after causing two traffic crashes. Luis Alberto Baca-Morales, 36, drove a white pickup truck hauling a white trailer east on County Road 466A at around 3:55 p.m. Wednesday, according to an arrest report from the Fruitland Park Police Department. He then caused a traffic crash at the intersection with State Road 25 by hitting the back of a black pickup truck.
