The collaboration aims to support the commercialisation of AlternOx’s innovative antifungal agents, which have the potential to solve a major challenge in modern agriculture – crop-destroying fungi that can become resistant to traditional fungicides.

The University of Sussex has won the ‘Entrepreneurship Catalyst’ trophy at this year’s National Enterprise Educators Awards for the Sussex Student Entrepreneurship Programme, in recognition of its delivery of exceptional entrepreneurship education. The focus of the award is on enabling pre-starts, start-ups and growing ventures, and the judges look for exceptional initiatives that support individuals to develop the capabilities they need for an entrepreneurial future.

Immigration was a hot topic for this election, regardless – given the time of writing this – of the winner, and seems to be equally as hot across Europe and the US. The problem we currently face is the total lack of any workable policy is about to drag us all back 60 years - and all in the space of ten years. We are in danger of being dragged back into the dark old days of fascism, xenophobia, and racial supremacism.

After the pigeon population exploded at Oxford United Football Club, the management knew it had to take action. By Paul Bates, Managing Director, Cleankill Fans were being affected with some having to move seats due to pigeon mess, despite the seats being cleaned a few hours earlier. The problem came to a head during ‘sell out’ matches when there were no spare seats to move supporters to. The solution is flying Harris hawks to scare and unsettle the pigeons, and it’s proving a huge success.
