After a grinder of an extra-innings win on Monday, the New York Mets seek to up their win streak to five when they send Tylor Megill to the mound on Tuesday. The defending champion Dodgers will counter with future Hall of Famer Clayton Kershaw, who made his second start of the season versus the Mets at Citi Field back on May 23. He pitched two no-hit innings with a walk and a strikeout before a rain delay ended his night early.

The New York Mets took care of the White Sox and Rockies accordingly last week, and were rewarded with a return to first place in the NL East. Now, they’ll look to ride that momentum into a four-game series with the defending champion Los Angeles Dodgers. The same Dodgers the Mets took two of three from in Flushing just over a week ago. They’ll look to keep up that momentum and upset the Dodgers again, and this time with righty Paul Blackburn making his season debut.

Saturday’s tilt between the Yankees and Dodgers was indeed a slugfest, just as we predicted. It was just a slugfest in the absolute worst way. Los Angeles’ deep lineup jumped on rookie Will Warren’s fastball from the start and welcomed him to the big leagues. An 18-2 romp later, Warren’s ERA ballooned to 5.19 and his FIP to a still-respectable 3.12 over a rough 1.1 inning outing. New York’s sole offense? Two solo home runs from Aaron Judge. Shocker indeed.

The New York Yankees came out swinging (literally) against the Los Angeles Dodgers on Friday. Home runs from Aaron Judge, Austin Wells, Trent Grisham, and Paul Goldschmidt put New York ahead 5-2 headed into the sixth inning. Then, the ghosts of Game 5 of the World Series showed up. The Dodgers put on a hit parade, sparked by Shohei Ohtani’s second homer of the night, and simply had everything go correctly for them. They took a 6-5 lead and ultimately won 8-5.

At long last, it’s finally here: The regular season World Series rematch between the Los Angeles Dodgers and New York Yankees. It’s been exactly seven months since the Yankees blew a 5-0 lead in Game 5 and watched the Dodgers celebrate on the field at Yankee Stadium. The Bronx Bombers were completely outplayed in the series by a deep and dangerous Los Angeles team. A perfect storm of factors, namely Aaron Judge vanishing in the playoffs (again), led to the Dodgers’ dominance.

I’ll keep this receipt for the next “Where Colin Was Wrong”

The Celtics should have to give 5/6 of their championships back. Humiliating L.

No disrespect but correction @RealMichaelKay. Jackson Merrill signed his extension in April 2025. Even took a shot at Juan Soto during his press conference announcing it

Clarke Schmidt has basically abandoned his sinker. Not sure why he'd do that
