Minot teams have played in a lot of championship games over the last month. None had gone well. Sunday's final of the Mandan A's tournament at Memorial Ballpark was not only the second straight Mandan legion tournament final for a Minot team, it was the second straight year the Metros had played for the Class A tournament championship.

Century's Holland Fitterer and Addison Klemin hadn't spent much of any time in the gym practicing volleyball since helping to lead the Patriots to their 10th state championship late in the fall. It would have been hard to guess with how both played during the series, as they teamed with Patriots and Read Team head coach Jamie Zastoupil one last time to play a competitive pair of games at Fargo South and Mandan High Schools on Monday and Tuesday, winning the opener 4-0 and falling on Tuesday 3-2.

TWO MARAUDERS INDUCTED INTO NSIC HOFThe Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference announced Tuesday morning that a pair of former University of Mary athletes, Jennifer Keller, née Agnew, and Melissa Blanchard, née Agnew, would be inducted into the conference's hall of fame. Keller and Blanchard played big roles in U-Mary's dominance in running sports in the early 2010s.
