    Authorities have deemed the death of a woman in a Mandan house fire late last month to be accidental. Amanda Kist, 39, died of smoke inhalation and fire in the blaze that happened in the early morning hours of Saturday, April 26, the Mandan Police Department reported Tuesday. Authorities still have not said what caused the fire in the 600 block of 25th Street Southeast.

    A Bismarck man on trial for attempted murder was found guilty following a two-day trial that stemmed from events last June when he was accused of stabbing another man in the neck and leaving him for dead. Dace Littledog, 28, was arrested and charged following a police response to an apartment on North 16th street on June 11, 2024. Officers discovered a man with a stab wound to his neck and another wound inside his left ear, according to an affidavit.
