Two big innings early on were enough for the Minot Hot Tots. Minot struck for two runs in the top of the first and three more in the second, jumping out to an early lead en route to a 6-2 Northwoods League win over the Bismarck Larks on Thursday at Municipal Ballpark. In a game with not a lot of hits but plenty of runs, the fast start powered Minot to another win over its Highway 83 rival. Wildness cost Bismarck starter Braxton Greenburg early on.

For the second straight night, the Minot Hot Tots shook off an early deficit and hung on for a win over their Highway 83 rivals. Minot swept its two-game series with the Bismarck Larks, winning 8-6 on Wednesday night at Municipal Ballpark. Like the previous night, Bismarck got on the scoreboard first. Again, Minot answered. Ryan Christianson two-out RBI single scored Ricardo Alponte to give the Larks a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first, giving them another early lead.
