AIR QUALITY ALERT FOR WESTERN NY 'TIL 11 P.M.A little more warmth, and a bit more humidity is in store for the afternoon and evening. Expect an ample amount of Hazy sunshine with highs in the mid 80s this afternoon, making it the warmest air we have seen in Buffalo since September. A cold front will move through the area on Thursday bringing showers and thundershowers to the region. Some of the thunderstorms on Thursday could be severe especially across the Southern Tier.

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — We are not quite out of the "wet woods" just yet, but that being said, the trend is our friend. There is a chance for a few showers and even a thundery downpour in places overnight, but largely, it will just be cloudy and cool with temperatures dropping into the lower 50s. The weekend looks unsettled and cool to start. Expect showers for the early morning Farmer's Markets. It'll dry out into the afternoon Saturday but it will remain very cool with a stubbornly cloudy sky.

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — A southwesterly flow of air off of Lake Erie has kept the low clouds in place, especially in downtown Buffalo. The remainder of the afternoon and evening will feature some partial clearing. At least we stay largely rain-free! Friday offers up a considerable amount of dry time, and even a bit of sun, before the next round of showers makes its way into Western New York Friday night. The weekend looks unsettled and cool to start.
