CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — There are programs and non-profits across the country working to solve the veteran's suicide and mental health crisis. Many of those programs, like Freedom Sings USA in Chattanooga, are doing outstanding work. However, there is a giant need for help. On the Price of Freedom, I take a look at the growth of a program that started right here. One of the first Freedom Sings events was in Rossville, Georgia in 2013.

CHATTANOOGA, Tn — There are many ways to learn about history. One of the best ways is to listen to the people who lived it. On the Price of Freedom I listened to Marine Corps Veteran Captain Ray Lewis. Captain Lewis got married in 1962. Four years later the young Lewis family had a daughter. Ray Lewis had a degree from pharmacy school and a new job in his home town. He went home one day and had a conversation with his life.
