UEFA are considering three major format changes for the Champions League next season, one of which comes after a complaint from Arsenal. The Champions League adopted its new Swiss model league phase this season, but could already make new changes from the start of next season. According to German outlet Bild, three new changes are being considered for the 2025/26 campaign with a meeting scheduled to discuss the proposals.

IRISH teenager Dylan Holmes has followed in Rory McIlroy's footsteps by winning a prestigious amateur tournament. Holmes, 18, became the youngest winner of the West Ireland Amateur Open Championship since McIlroy when he overcame the odds - and the weather - to win the trophy this week. The youngster started the week as a 150/1 outsider to lift the trophy on his tournament debut, but wrote his name in the record books with a 2&1 victory over Colm Campbell at County Sligo.

Thomas, 31, claimed his first PGA Tour win since 2022 after beating Andrew Novak in a play-off at Harbour Towns Golf Links on Sunday.
