The event – named One Moment for One Crew – took place at 6.24pm (to represent 18.24 in the 24 hour clock) on Thursday to coincide with the founding of the British Isles’ National Lifeboat service in March 1824.

DiscussionWe evaluated the use of unsupervised self-swabbing as part of a university COVID-19 testing programme to increase accessibility and to enable rapid scale up of testing. Unsupervised testing allowed us to capture a larger and more diverse proportion of the campus community in our COVID-19 testing programme, and the flexibility to accommodate increased testing volume proved critical following academic breaks and during the Omicron wave of the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic.
