    Nashvillians will soon have two more places to buy fragrances. New York-based fragrance company Le Labo is opening a new shop in 12South. The boutique fragrance seller's first Nashville location is set for 2606 12th Ave. S., according to a recently filed permit. It will take a space most recently occupied by Christie Cookie Co., which closed its 12South site — and last Nashville location — in April.

    A set of long-unused COVID-19 quarantine housing pods could soon be repurposed as temporary housing options. Metro issued a request for proposals (RFP) on May 28, and according to a press release, the city is seeking applications from nonprofits and community organizations to award up to 25 of the units (made by Washington-based Pallet Shelter) to be used as temporary housing.

    Thirteen Tennessee children in foster care have filed a class action lawsuit against the state Department of Children’s Services, saying the system fails to keep the children in its care safe. A Better Childhood, a New York-based nonprofit watchdog organization, brought the lawsuit on behalf of the children — ages 1 to 16 — who say they suffered while in the state’s custody.
