Locally headquartered solar energy producer Silicon Ranch is making a significant investment in a Canadian tech company focused on robotic mowing and land management. Silicon Ranch officials announced in a June 3 press release that they would invest $3 million in Ontario-based Swap Robotics, a company that produces electric, autonomous mowing robots for solar utility scale services. This follows the solar array company’s previous investments into Swap Robotics.

More than 100 Nashville-area residents filed into the Metropolitan Courthouse on Tuesday night to give their thoughts on Mayor Freddie O’Connell’s proposed $3.8 billion budget for fiscal year 2026. In what amounted to a nearly five-hour-long budget hearing, residents pleaded for Council to allocate funds toward pay increases for Metro employees, affordable housing and the Varsity Spending Plan — the latter a gun-violence prevention and safe neighborhood advocacy group.

Post Malone is set to open a bar and entertainment venue on Lower Broadway, making him the latest celebrity to attach his name to a downtown honky-tonk. Ohio-based TC Restaurant Group announced its partnership with the Grammy Award-nominated musician in a press release Tuesday. The new venue will be housed at 305 Broadway, the former site of Tequila Cowboy and Wanna B's Karaoke Bar, next to Jason Aldean's Kitchen + Rooftop Bar.
