The Paducah Cooperative Ministry is a local nonprofit that serves the community through food, rental and utility assistance, and more. The organizations motto is “Doing God’s work with human hands,” and right now they could use a helping hand. PCM is currently in need of some pantry staples, so they can restock their shelves. Some items they need include cereal, ramen noodles, hamburger helper, crackers, and more. Additionally, registration has opened for PCM’s 11th Annual Moonlight Bike Ride.

The American Red Cross is asking for more donations ahead of the summer holidays. According to a news release from the Red Cross, late May signals the beginning of a busy time for celebrations and summer holidays. Because of this, the organization is asking donors to make an appointment to donate blood or plasma before calendars begin to fill up.

HENRY COUNTY, TN — A 75-year-old man from Paris, Tennessee reportedly died in Kentucky Lake over the weekend. According to a news release from the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency, they responded to a report of an unconscious man found in the water near a boat on Kentucky Lake.

LIVINGSTON COUNTY, KY — The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet is planning to temporarily remove the lane restrictions in a work zone along Interstate 24 in Livingston County on Wednesday, May 22. According to a news release from the KYTC, the lane restrictions in question are part of a roadway rehabilitation project along I-24. The restriction is just over 4 miles long. It runs from near the Tennessee River Bridge at mile marker 29 to near the Cumberland River Bridge at mile marker 33.
