With Donald Trump inaugurated for his second term Monday, fear is rising among undocumented immigrants in California. As a sanctuary city, Berkeley may be the target of Trump’s mass deportation plans. Last week, border-patrol agents showed up in unmarked vehicles in Fresno and Kern Counties and arrested at least 78 undocumented immigrants, according to ABC7.

A 2nd-alarm fire broke out on 22nd Street between Capp and Shotwell streets on Tuesday evening. Around 50 firefighters responded to the fire at 5:27 p.m. at the 3100 block of 22nd Street, according to Lieutenant Mariano Elías, a spokesperson for the San Francisco Fire Department. No one was injured. The affected building is a victorian-style residence adjacent to Hua Zang Si, a Buddhist temple; both buildings are clad in wooden planks painted bright red.
