If you've been waiting for lower mortgages rates, you'll likely have to wait longer, despite recent rate cuts from the Federal Reserve. The average 30-year fixed mortgage is still above 6%. "That can take quite a long time to reverberate throughout the entire system. We also have to remember that the Federal Reserve doesn't actually control the interest rates people charge, they are simply pushing interest rates in one direction," said economist Ahmed Rahman with Lehigh University.

On Wednesday, the local health care giant announced it has been designated as the Official Health Care Partner of ArtsQuest's SteelStacks campus, as well as naming partner of the Turn & Grind Shop redevelopment project, and presenter of the Bethlehem Visitor Center at Steel Stacks.

MONROE CO., Pa. - Route 611 has cars flowing through it once again after work began in August to get the road reopened. The work initially delayed by the need for special permits from the national park service. The PennDOT District 5 press officer, Ron Young, tells us that stretch of 611 will be a single lane for now with a traffic light controlling the flow in each direction.
