The Breeders’ Cup has named Keeneland Race Course and Belmont Park as respective host sites for the 2026 and 2027 Breeders’ Cup World Championships. Keeneland Race Course in Lexington, Kentucky, and Belmont Park in Elmont, New York, are both currently undergoing extensive renovations, but will be ready to host the Breeders’ Cup in the coming years. The 2026 running will mark the fourth time that Keeneland will host the World Championships (2015, 2020, 2022).

The Indiana men’s basketball program will travel to Puerto Rico for an exhibition tour that includes three games from August 6–11 in the capital city of San Juan, including a game against a Puerto Rican All-Star team to open the tour. “Discover Puerto Rico is thrilled to welcome the Indiana men’s basketball team to our Island, in partnership with Complete Sports Management,” said Carlos Deliz, sports tourism director, Discover Puerto Rico.

Catch Des Moines has announced that Trina Flack has been selected as the organization’s next president and chief executive officer. Flack, a 17-year veteran of the organization and current vice president of sales, will assume the role on August 1. She succeeds Greg Edwards, the longtime president and CEO who is retiring at the end of July after 25 years of leading the organization.

Broward County Stadium in South Florida will welcome Major League Cricket action during the July 4 weekend, as the first professional Twenty20 cricket league in the United States plays at the renovated venue from July 1–6. There will be nine matches over six days including a Fourth of July doubleheader, as well as entertainment, food vendors, giveaways, youth zones and local business activations.
