BBC World Service
The BBC World Service is the largest international broadcaster in the world, delivering news, discussions, and spoken content in 29 languages across various platforms. These include analogue and digital shortwave, Internet streaming, podcasts, satellites, DAB, FM, and MW relays. In November 2015, it was announced that the BBC World Service would expand its offerings to include broadcasts in Pidgin and Yoruba for audiences in Nigeria, increasing the total number of languages to 31. A year later, in November 2016, the BBC revealed plans to add more languages such as Amharic and Igbo, marking its most significant growth since the 1940s. In 2015, the World Service reached an average of 210 million listeners each week through TV, radio, and online channels. The English-language service operates around the clock.

US President Donald Trump has signed a proclamation banning travel to the US from nationals of 12 countries, which goes into effect on 9 June. The countries listed are Afghanistan, Myanmar, Chad, Congo-Brazzaville, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Haiti, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, and Yemen.
