JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Jackson police announced two men were arrested after a body was found in a burned vehicle. Detective Tommie Brown said Jacob Falcon, 38, and Levi Falcon, 23, were arrested on Tuesday, April 8, 2025. They were both charged with murder. JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Jackson police announced a man, who is a registered sex offender, was arrested in connection to the stabbing death of a woman inside her home. Detective Tommie Brown said Denarius McDonald was arrested on Tuesday, April 8, 2025. He is expected to be charged with capital murder.

The crash occurred on I-55 North past the Wynndale Road exit around 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 8. HARRISON COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) – An opening date has been set for Mississippi’s first Buc-ee’s location. The Sun Herald reported the Buc-ee’s in Harrison County is currently set to open on June 9, 2025. The Menge Avenue location is expected to bring at least 200 full-time jobs to the area. Mississippi Lottery makes March 2025 transfer to state Buc-ee’s favorites, including Texas barbeque, homemade fudge, kolaches, Beaver Nuggets, jerky and fresh pastries, will all be available.

BENTONIA, Miss. (WJTV) – The Bentonia Fire Department was destroyed during a fire. The fire occurred at the fire department on Railroad Avenue on Saturday, April 5. Mississippi storms leave one dead and one injured “I will have to say, the men and women from all over our county and surrounding counties came out to help. That’s what it’s about! Laying aside differences and dividers and just coming together as one to get the job done. I am very proud tonight.
