On June 20, 2024, the Department of Commerce’s Bureau of Industry and Security (Commerce) announced the issuance of the first Final Determination (Determination) under Executive Order 13873 – Securing the Information and Communications Technology and Services (ICTS) Supply Chain. The Determination, which was published in the Federal Register on June 24, 2024, imposes a prohibition on transactions by Russian-affiliated Kaspersky Lab Inc.
