BRAZOS VALLEY, Texas (KBTX) - A former Brazos Valley teacher is on his way to federal prison in connection to a charge of him sharing multiple images of child sexual abuse material (CSAM), according to the Department of Justice. Daniel Byrd, 31, of College Station was a teacher in the Navasota area when he was arrested in March 2023. He pleaded guilty last November.

COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) - Texas A&M Police is asking for help finding two people of interest in connection to a stolen wallet in February. A wallet was stolen from the Blocker Building around 2 p.m. on Feb. 21, according to a post from Texas A&M Police. Just hours later, two persons of interest used the owner’s credit card at a nearby smoke shop. Aggies! We need your help!On 2/21/25 around 2:00 PM, a wallet was stolen from the Blocker Building.

MILAM COUNTY, Texas (KBTX) - The Milam County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) arrested two people this week in connection to a Rockdale woman’s death last December. 88-year-old Delores Woolverton was found dead in her Beverly Drive home on the afternoon of Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2024, just outside of Rockdale. Her autopsy results show her official cause of death as “canine mauling,” according to a release from MCSO.

BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) - Friday and Saturday’s weather has changed some plans for this weekend in Bryan-College Station. The National Weather Service issued a Tornado Watch for 17 counties, including Brazos. The watch is began shortly before 2:30 p.m. and is expected to end at 9 p.m. Friday. Check with KBTX Weather to stay up to date on all weather-related activity. • None was also rained out for Friday. The district hopes to announce a new date soon.

Ny’lah Crawford was last seen around 9 p.m. Wednesday in the 700 block of Wellesley Court. When last seen, she was wearing a black hoodie, gray shirt, and white pajama pants.
