An agreement has been made between the city of Bee Cave and Google Fiber to install a fiber optic network throughout the city using public right of way. On Jan. 15, Judge Laurie Eiserloh of Travis County’s 455th District Court issued a ruling allowing Velocis, developer of the West Austin Business Park, to resume construction while following city noise ordinances. The ruling comes after two court hearings Nov. 12 and Nov. 20, wherein the city of Bee Cave sought a temporary injunction and a halt to construction at the site.
