ALLENTOWN, Pa. – Allentown School District's Building 21 high school will go by a different name for the upcoming 2025-26 school year. The proposed name — Bridgeview Academy of Health, Science, Innovation, and Technology — comes in part from a combination of contributions from a community naming survey. The name also reflects the school’s new design, officials said.

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Bethlehem City Council passed a measure Wednesday night to help Lehigh Valley Health Network get more than $9 million in state funding for its redevelopment projects at the former Martin Tower site. The legislative body voted to approve a resolution authorizing and directing city employees to apply for a more than $9 million grant from Pennsylvania’s Redevelopment Assistance Capital Grant Program for LVHN's projects at the property along Eighth Avenue.

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Discussion over traffic concerns on Pennsylvania Avenue dominated the Bethlehem City Council meeting Wednesday evening. Residents implored councilmembers to consider making their street safer by painting a white line to keep drivers passing through from hitting cars parked along the side of the busy street. "We ask you folks to advocate for us; this is a safety issue now," said Rev. Bruce Stevenson.

I love making diary comics. They help me process what’s going on in my life and in the world while simultaneously providing a distraction. And, like an actual written diary, they’re there for me to reread when my memory gets a little foggy. I’d like to get better at making diary comics out of the silly and normal things, instead of just the sad stuff. It’s helping that I’m slowly letting go of perfectionism, and I’m starting to be okay with letting the comic panels be messy.

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The school board of Bethlehem Area School District passed its long-awaited cellphone use policy on Monday. The devices aren't entirely banned, but under the new rules, students can no longer use their phones during instructional hours. In addition, the policy approved Monday doesn't just apply to cellphones — it covers any device that can pull students' attention away from class.
