    HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) - A man was pronounced dead after being hit by a car on University Drive Tuesday night. Huntsville Police say they responded to the call of an accident involving a pedestrian near the intersection of University Drive and Sparkman Drive around 9:30 p.m. The pedestrian, identified as 67-year-old Garry Woods, was hit while walking in the roadway. Officials say Woods was walking outside of a designated crosswalk. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

    HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) - Redstone Arsenal officials confirmed that Tuesday night’s storms heavily damaged NASA’s Building 4604. Officials say initial assessments indicate severe damage to the exterior of the building. Fortunately, the facility was unoccupied during the storm, and no injuries were reported. Officials said everything in the building was old property being processed for disposal, including old furniture, dated equipment, etc.

(WAFF) - One person is in critical condition after being hit by a vehcile in Huntsville on Tuesday night, according to Huntsville Emergency Medical Services Inc. spokesperson Don Webster. Webster said the call came in around 9:28 p.m. for a male pedestrian being hit at 4709 University Drive, near the ALDI grocery store. WAFF will update with more information as it becomes available.

    HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) - A building at NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center has experienced damage following severe weather on Tuesday night, according to officials. Officials with Marshall Space Flight Center have confirmed there is damage to Building 4604, a metal and disposal building. Officials said everything in the building was old property being processed for disposal, including old furniture, dated equipment, etc. There is no other known damage at this time.

    JACKSON CO., Ala. (WAFF) - The National Weather Service in Huntsville has confirmed an EF-0 tornado hit Jackson County during Sunday’s storms. Following a preliminary survey, the agency announced the tornado touched down in the Cave Springs area near County Road 54. The tornado tracked an estimated 85 mph with a distance of eight miles. Officials said large tree branches were downed as the tornado tracked east-southeast. Tree damage was also found near County Road 53 and County Road 147.
