James Morgan is still in the hospital recovering from his injuries. He told me he is suffering from burns on his lungs and smoke inhalation. Officials said the fire broke out around midnight on Monday on Elk River Mills Road. James said the fire broke out fast, but he was able to get out. His brother Raymond was stuck inside.

SHELBY CO., Tenn. (WAFF) - Five arrests were made in connection to the abduction of missing Huntsville realtor Ronald Dumas Jr., Memphis Police announced on Wednesday. Dumas was last seen at a liquor store on University Drive in Huntsville on December 15. Authorities took 32-year-old Quintarius White and 27-year-old Kierra Clark into custody at a home on Danville Road in Memphis.

FLORENCE, Ala. (WAFF) - The Florence Lauderdale Animal Services is bursting at the seams. It is because the shelter is holding 82 dogs seized during a criminal investigation from a Lauderdale County home back in January. In January, 82 dogs were seized from a Lauderdale County property for neglect. The owner has not surrendered the dogs to the shelter, and now they have to play the waiting game for the legal process to take place.

ATHENS, Ala. (WAFF) - Rhonda and Larry Moore are the two accused of running a backyard breeding operation and now face a combined 76 counts related to animal cruelty and neglect. Kendrick McNamee-Taylor’s parents live right across the street from Rhonda and Larry Moore, the accused backyard breeders. FALKVILLE, Ala. (WAFF/Gray News) - Authorities in Alabama say a police pickup truck crashed into the patio of a Chipotle Mexican Grill, injuring four people, including an 8-year-old girl. Falkville City Attorney Larry Madison spoke to WAFF about the Monday night incident that took place at a Chipotle in Decatur.
