PENN YAN, N.Y. (WENY) -- On this week’s episode of Twin Tiers Scoop, WENY visited a TikTok-famous Finger Lakes ice cream shop that’s shaking up summer treats with a rich and unexpected ingredient, duck eggs. Tucked away just outside Penn Yan, The Spotted Duck is more than just a roadside custard stand. It’s a family-run farm-to-cone operation that’s been serving up scoops with a story for nearly a decade. “We’ve been here for almost 10 years,” said owner Sam Solomon.

Highs will be around 80. Overnight lows drop to about 60 with partly cloudy skies in store. A warm front will move into the area early Saturday and bring warmer temperatures. Highs will be in the mid to upper 80s under partly sunny skies. We will see the chance for a shower or thunderstorm.

Patchy fog will be possible this morning and give way to partly sunny skies on Thursday. An approaching cold front will bring pop up showers and thunderstorms this afternoon, but the actual cold front will not move through until this evening. There will be a bit of a line with the front. A few storms could be on the stronger side and produce gusty winds as well as heavy rainfall. This could lead to localized flash flooding. Temperatures will be in the mid 80s and humid conditions will continue.

Temperatures will remain below-average a majority of this week. We do climb to the mid to upper-70s by the late week. Humidity looks to stay in check until the end of the week and start of the weekend. @WENYKatherineS https://t.co/IcNmix91Oa
