A star of Channel 4’s Hunted, who is from Northampton, has revealed how her decade-long military career left her with PTSD and afraid to leave the house. Reflecting on her own journey, Nichola says that PTSD symptoms began to surface during her time in the service. This included cognitive decline and severe anxiety, which she had never experienced before. “People around me remarked that I had become a shell of myself,” she said. “It felt like I was always a step behind myself.

The county is set to welcome around 1,000 people to an event raising awareness of gluten intolerance and coeliac disease next month. Before Nicola was appointed in her role at the county’s Healthcare Foundation Trust in October 2022, there had never been a specialist coeliac dietitian in Northamptonshire – and there are very few across the UK. “In the past, people with coeliac disease have been seen once and are left to get on with it,” Nicola previously told the Chronicle & Echo.

A 31-year-old Northampton woman, who has been battling breast cancer over the past “nightmare year”, has been touched by a recent fundraiser completed by her family and friends. “Tim and I only got married in February last year,” Kim told the Chronicle & Echo. “I found a lump in April and was diagnosed on May 16. I’m only 31 and had to quit my job.
