Boston names high school student as new Youth Poet Laureate BOSTON - A Boston Latin School student has been named Boston's new Youth Poet Laureate. There's a new poet in town - Boston's new Youth Poet Laureate, Parker-Vincent Alva. "I think it's so powerful. It's really writing diluted down to its most emotional," the Boston Latin School student said. The city surprised Alva with the position at a ceremony, beating out nine other semi-finalists.

DEDHAM - A Dedham woman is trying to take the stigma out of disability aids. Noelle Connolly has been living with multiple sclerosis symptoms since she was 17 and was officially diagnosed at 23. "I was a young, vibrant person living life to the fullest. Then, I got this diagnosis and had to figure out what to do," she said. She found a care team that eventually got her on a medicine that stabilized her.

BOSTON - There's a thrift store in Boston that's nearly 100 years old, and 100% of their proceeds go somewhere else. "It's one of those places where it's kind of magic," The Thrift Shop of Boston store manager Chris Roth said. The Roslindale store gives all of its profits to The Home for Little Wanderers. Starting as an orphanage 225 years ago, they're the oldest child welfare agency in the country and also located in Boston.
