A mum has called for the Scottish Government to make more support available to children under five diagnosed with autism. It took three years for Natasha Mclennan’s son to be diagnosed. The mum-of-two had noticed traits in her child, but she felt the family’s concerns were ignored. The now five-year-old requires speech and language therapy. Natasha believes there is not enough support readily available in the public sector for families with young autistic children.

Almost £100,000 has been raised to cover the cost of the repatriation and funeral of a Rangers fan who died during an away trip to Turkey. Christopher Potter travelled to Istanbul ahead of the Glasgow club’s clash with Fenerbahce in the Europa League. The dad passed away after a road traffic accident in the Turkish city. Following the incident, a GoFundMe was set up to help cover repatriation costs and his funeral.

A Fife road has been closed in both directions following a “suspect gas leak” on Friday. Admiralty Road between Limekilns and Rosyth in Fife was shut at around 10.14am after the incident was reported. Drivers have been urged to avoid the area. A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “The A985 Admiralty Road between Limekilns and Rosyth is currently closed after a report of a suspected gas leak. “Drivers are asked to avoid the area and consider another route.

Vandals have targeted a Lowland League football club in Fife after driving a road roller over the pitch. CCTV from Cowdenbeath’s Central Park shows three people break into the stadium riding the construction vehicle at around 9pm on Thursday evening. The roller then proceeded to be driven onto the pitch. After the vehicle moves onto the grass, the driver holds his arm in the air whilst one individual jumps off. A phone appears to be handed to the person who seems to film the incident.

A murder inquiry has been launched following the death of a 15-year-old boy who was found on a street. Amen Teklay died after being found seriously injured on Clarendon Street at around 10.30pm on Wednesday. Emergency services were called, but the 15-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been made awarePolice Scotland has launched a major investigation and are treating the death as murder following a post-mortem.
