A Pennsburg man is facing two sets of retail theft charges after allegedly stealing groceries from the Giant Food Store in Hatfield Township and the Wegmans in Montgomeryville. Ryan Reago, 29, has been charged with felony counts of retail theft and receiving stolen property in each case. He’s currently free on $5,000 unsecured bail in the Hatfield case and $1,000 unsecured bail in the Montgomery Township case, court records show.

A Lansdale man has been charged with felony retail theft after he allegedly stole items from the 7-Eleven on West Main Street and was later allegedly found to be in possession of methamphetamine as well as stolen clothing from Ross. Lansdale Police were dispatched to the 600 block of West Main Street at 8:44 p.m. on Feb. 24 for a report of a theft in progress.

A Lansdale man has been sentenced to probation as part of a plea agreement with prosecutors that saw a felony ethnic intimidation charge dropped in exchange for his plea. Court records show 39-year-old Shane Durst was sentenced last month to two years’ probation after pleading guilty to one misdemeanor count of possessing an instrument of crime.

SOUDERTON — A former Souderton Area School District band instructor has been sentenced in Montgomery County Court to jail time for a relationship with a former student 16 years ago. Perry Boucher, 49, of Bethlehem, was sentenced to 3 to 23 months in Montgomery County prison, following an open guilty plea to one felony count of endangering the welfare of children in December.

LOWER GWYNEDD — A pedestrian who was struck and killed by a train on the SEPTA regional rail line Tuesday morning had left the platform and walked into the path of the train as it was arriving at the Penllyn Train Station in Lower Gwynedd Township, according to officials. The incident occurred at 7:30 a.m. on Feb. 27 near the intersection of Pershing Road and Old Penllyn Pike.
