Two Tarrant County jailers accused in the death of Anthony Johnson Jr. were indicted Friday on murder charges, according to officials. A Tarrant County grand jury indicted Rafael Moreno, a jailer seen on video kneeling on the 31-year-old’s back, and Lt. Joel Garcia, his supervisor. Their attorneys could not immediately be reached for comment.

Dallas police officers and Dallas Fire-Rescue employees will now be able to show their tattoos at work, a policy change meant to help the city’s recruitment and retention of first responders, city officials announced Friday. Dallas police officers will also be able to show groomed, natural beards, officials said.

By Kelli Smith, The Dallas Morning News Andrea Liliana Araujo and her husband, Pedro Ortega, said in a Dallas County lawsuit filed Tuesday that the gunman who opened fire Oct. 14 at Fair Park passed directly through a security screening checkpoint with a semi-automatic pistol in his hoodie, according to their attorney. Araujo, 41, was working with a cleaning crew at the fair when she was shot.
