Gov. Kelly Ayotte has put together a working group to address a recent uptick of suicide attempts from people jumping off bridges in Portsmouth. Officials say there were three suicide attempts involving the Piscataqua River Bridge over a 24-hour span in May. >> If you or someone you know needs help, call or text the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline. The cost to install safety barriers along a stretch of I-95 in New Hampshire was more than expected, so the state has decided to push the project back. The project had been fast-tracked after a string of cross-median crashes last year, but New Hampshire officials said they now need to go back to the drawing board. The project was prompted, in part, by a string of fatal crashes last year on I-95 that left five people dead over a span of three weeks.

The No Kings protests planned in the Granite State are part of a nationwide effort. Organizers said the demonstrations are about standing up for the country they want to be a part of. They said thousands of people are expected to participate in the rain-or-shine protests in New Hampshire.
