U.S. Steel will remain headquartered in Pittsburgh under "a planned partnership" with Japan's Nippon Steel, President Donald Trump announced in a social media post Friday. It wasn't clear what the terms of the deal would be or who would own U.S. Steel under the arrangement. The annual Rush to Crush Cancer bike ride is happening this weekend in Pittsburgh, with proceeds benefiting local cancer research at UPMC Hillman Cancer Center. Among those participating is Michael Michna. He is both raising money for the cause and benefiting from it. "I knew something was wrong," Michna said, recalling Christmas Eve 2023, when he suddenly got sick after a cycling class at Zenergy in East Liberty.

First responders are at the scene of a serious crash in Fayette County on Thursday. Sky 4, Pittsburgh's only news chopper, showed emergency crews and an overturned car on Springfield Pike in Connellsville Township.
